According to the Ministry of Economy (SE), the new suspension agreements to regulate Mexican sugar exportation, were sealed after being subscribed by government representatives from both nations. This agreement forbids the imposition of compensation fees against sugar shipped from Mexico, which would have ranged between 40.48% and 42.14% for the dumping investigation and a 5.78% to 43.93% for the subsidy investigation. Besides, the purity standard was reduced from 99.4% to 99.2%, to determine whether sugar is raw or refined.
