Smurfit Kappa announced it has received the ‘Passion for Results’ award for “outstanding customer support and service delivery,” from Signify, the world leader in lighting for professionals, consumers and the Internet of Things, formerly known as Philips Lighting.
According to a statement, supply chain optimization and a reduction in costs, coupled with exemplary customer service, “were among the benefits that Smurfit Kappa provided for Signify” at its production facility located in Tijuana, Baja California.
Smurfit Kappa provides sustainable packaging for a wide range of Signify’s lighting products including ballasts, LED lights and LED lamps from its own packaging plant also located in Tijuana.
Speaking about the latest award, Greg Hall, CEO of Smurfit Kappa North America, said: “We are very pleased to receive this award from our valued business partner Signify. The award winners were chosen by a global panel of Signify Account Managers and Procurement Directors.
Bartosz Thomas, from Signify’s Worldwide Strategic Commodity Procurement Team, added: “This award acknowledges Smurfit Kappa for going above and beyond in quick delivery response times to support high schedule fluctuations.
