Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.- Manuel Montoya Ortega, Head of Nuevo Leon Automotive Cluster said that this increase is mainly due to the rebound the field has had in the United States. However, he did admit that for some indicators the industry has not reached pre-2005 levels, when up to 16 million units were sold. As a reference, he added that between January and April of this year exports by Nuevo Leon posted 33.7% increase over even term the previous year, adding to US$12.248 billion.
