  • Offshore Group Client Company Expands Sonora, Mexico Manufacturing Facility

    Essex, Vermont based Huber + Suhner, Inc. has recently committed to expanding its Mexican manufacturing operations at The Offshore Group’s Bella Vista Industrial Park in Empalme, Sonora. The company currently occupies 20,000 square feet of industrial real estate, but will soon bring 82,000 square feet of manufacturing space on-line. This represents an increase in production space of over 60,000 square feet. At present, Huber Suhner’s Empalme, Sonora plant employs approximately 275 workers. When the new buildings’ production capacity becomes functional, the company’s workforce will increase to over 500. According to Mark Cunningham, the company’s President and General Manager, “Our initial positive experience in Empalme with The Offshore Group coupled with a significant market commitment to our MASTERLINE extreme hybridTM product (Fiber Optics and Power to the Antenna – F/PTTA) Line has given us the confidence to significantly expand our Mexican production. This move allows us to better serve our customers and the market growth currently seen in North America. We look forward to increasing output and profitability of our company as we ramp this additional production lines in Mexico.” Huber + Suhner, Inc., Essex Junction, Vermont, is the North American subsidiary of Switzerland’s Huber Suhner AG. A leading manufacturer of components and systems for electrical and optical connectivity, the company can draw on core competencies in the areas of Radio Frequency, Fiber Optics and Low Frequency. The product range includes coaxial, fiber optic and copper cables, cable systems, connectors, antennas and lightning protection components for the, communications, data center, transportation, automotive, industrial, instrumentation, medical equipment, military/aerospace, and industries.
