    Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.- During the first four months of this year maquiladora industry generated 13,985 jobs, according to a report by the Maquiladoras Association, Asociacion de Maquiladoras Asociacion Civil. The almost 14,000 jobs represent the highest figure for the first 4-month period in the last 4 years. Officers from AMAC said that they have seen growth in many companies this 2012. Jose Luis Armendariz Bailon, Chairman, said that even if very ambiguous signs are received about the performance of the US economy, it is a fact that there is more employment here. According to Maquiladoras Association, in December 2011, employment in this industry shrank to 192,349 jobs, after reaching 197,681 in August. However, with growth posted in the last 4 months, maquilador employment in Ciudad Juarez has reached 206,334 jobs, AMAC’s report says.
