Jatco Mexico starts transmissions production in Aguascalientes
Mexico City.- The Mexican subsidiary of the Japanese company Jatco started production of a new generation of automobiles transmissions: CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), in their plant at Aguascalientes, where they invested US$200 million and will generate around 300 jobs in 2012-2014.
The new facilities will be devoted to manufacturing new generation CVT’s, installing control valves and manufacturing electric engines for hybrid vehicles (HEV).
Jatco has six subsidiaries outside Japan, located in the United States, Mexico, China, France and Korea. They also have seven production plants and three more subsidiaries in Japan, devoted to Research and Development.T21 Date: 26/03/2012 Regional News
