Ramiro Villeda, Ph.D., CPIM former professor of manufacturing management in the School of Business at San Jose State University and industrial engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Villeda was the first person in the United States to earn a doctorate in Just in Time Manufacturing in 1985. Dr. Villeda's articles have been published in the U.S., Japan, United Kingdom, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico. His firm has provided consultation for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing strategies, and on China’s Technological Development in the U.S., Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Spain, Belgium, United Kingdom, South Africa, Philippines, China and India; to Fortune 500 corporations, and to state and federal governments.
