UMEMURA JUN - MEXICONOW

Mr. Umemura is Vice President of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. and General Manager of West Coast and Mexico Operation. In 1982, Mr. Umemura was in charge of the operation at Toyota Motor Manufacturing U.S.A. in Long Beach, California. After that, he was involved with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky and Toyota Motor Canada Planning and Start-up. In 1991, he moved to New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) as General Manager of engineering and corporate strategy. In 2001, Mr. Umemura joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc. and served as General Manager of West Coast to be responsible for the start-up of the TMMBC plant in Mexico. He became Senior Vice President, Secretary, and a member the Board of Directors of TMMBC, Toyota’s first plant in Mexico, in 2002.
