Andres has held his current position since 2006, being responsible for developing Bombardier’s sourcing activities in emerging countries. He has been heavily involved in Bombardier’s Mexico activities, developing and executing the supply chain strategy to support the Queretaro plant and the development of the Queretaro Aerospace Park. He joined Bombardier in 2004, as part of the team responsible for launching the CSeries aircraft program, working on the site selection, government negotiations, supplier strategy and leading the WTO file.
Prior to joining Bombardier, Andres worked at General Electric Canada (Commercial Finance division) in the area of Credit and Risk Management. He completed degrees in Marketing at ORT University (Uruguay) and Business and Economics at McGill University (Montreal). He’s worked on several major research projects including the economic cost benefit analysis of the merger of the McGill University Health Centre megahospital.
He’s presented at several conferences and events including the Farnborough Air Show (2008) and has received several awards including “Forces Avenir” and the nomination for the “10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians Award”.
