Mr. Espino is Senior V.P. for GE Capital Solutions Mexico since September 2004. Prior to this appointment he was Senior Sales Manager for Commercial Equipment Finance Mexico. He joined GE in October 1999 as Product Specialist for Maquila and Pitex operations at GE CEF Mexico. He has an Accounting Degree from ITESM and a Global MBA degree from The American Graduate School for International Management at Glendale, Az. Mr. Espino has been working with GE developing financial products non-Mexican companies with operations in Mexico and was directly involved with Mexican tax authorities in the development and approval of special ruling regarding financing assets imported under temporary importation programs. He is one of the pioneers developing tax-effective financing structures for companies working under Maquiladora and Shelter programs in Mexico and conducted the first Sale-Leaseback transaction for machinery imported under temporary importation program back in 2000.
