Manuel Molano is a Mexican economist (1996) winner of the Banamex Award of Economics in 1998 and a master candidate in applied economics in the University of London. His career as an economist has mainly occurred in the agricultural sector (2001-2006). He is the operating director of the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness, a private think-tank in Mexico City.
