China's JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) said it has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Mexico's Federal Electricity Commission for three solar projects totalling 188 MW.

The Chinese solar products maker won these projects in April 2016 under Mexico's first long term electricity auction, according to a press release.

The terms of the off-take contracts call for JinkoSolar to start power generation at the new facilities by mid-2018.

The electricity will be sold to the commission, also known as Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE), for a period of 15 years, while the associated Clean Energy Certificates (CELs) will be sold over a 20-year period.

Last month, JinkoSolar said it had picked UK-based company Solarcentury to develop two ground mount solar projects in Mexico with a combined capacity of 170 MW.
