The seventh round of talks for the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) will be held in Mexico City from February 25 to March 6, confirmed the Ministry of Economy on Wednesday.

The date that had been set was February 26, but one day was advanced in order to make room for a technical meeting to define the details of the working tables. This is the second time the agenda is extended.

In the sixth round of NAFTA talks, which culminated at the end of January in Montreal, the United States rejected Canada's proposals to include engineering, research and development expenses in the origin content for vehicles manufactured in North America.
