Japanese Firm Toray invested US$80 million on a new industrial building and is going to employ 173 associates. The plant has capacity to produce nearly 10,000 tons of nylon fibers per year; this facility is going to manufacture the textile to be shipped out to assemblers to produce airbags for vehicles. This project is part of the value chain to serve an ever-expanding market, as the automotive airbag production is. Therefore, the Japanese Firm made a decision to establish its new material manufacturing center in Jalisco, building from scratch a special textile factory to become part of the automotive industry supply chain.
