Cargo transit through Queretaro airport up 45%

From January through November 2017, the volume of cargo moved throughout the Intercontinental Airport of Queretaro (AIQ) had an annual growth of 45%, with 32,516 tons, reported El Financiero citing figures of the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC).

The data of the DGAC shows that in the first 11 months of 2017 the volume of international cargo in the Queretaro airport totaled 15,073 tons, an increase of 60.2% over the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, domestic cargo totaled 17,443 tons, which represented an increase of 34.1%.

Just in November, the AIQ reported a total of 3,086 tons of cargo, this is 44.6% more than the same month of 2016, according to the DGAC. Of these, 1,794 tons were domestic volume, and 1,292 of foreign cargo.

During the same month, the volume of national cargo reported in the local terminal showed an increase of 39.8%, while the international cargo saw a growth of 51.8%.
