Mexico’s oil exports reach record high in November

Exports of crude oil reached their highest since August 2011, with a daily average of 1,388,000 b/d (B/D) during November. According to Pemex's operating report, hydrocarbon exports during November increased 9%, compared to the 1,273,000 b/d that were shipped overseas in the same month of last year.

In the eleventh month of the year, Pemex maintained a production rate of 1,867,000 thousand b/d, 1.8% less than the previous month, and 10% lower than in November 2016. Thus, the average production during the first 11 months of the year was 1,955,000 thousand b/d, in line with the budgetary targets for the current fiscal year.

Also during November, gasoline imports reached record highs in the year, and since the records exist, with a daily average of 637,600 b/d. Thus, during the eleventh month of 2017, Mexico imported 78.3% of the 813,500 gasoline barrels per day consumed in the country.

Also, imports of November 2017 were 10.7% higher than the 575,500 daily barrels reported during the eleventh month of 2016.
