Mexicana MRO Services delivered the first Boeing 767-300 aircraft converted from a passenger to a freighter, in which the company worked over four months in collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), being the first aircraft of its kind in Mexico and in Latin America.

General director Marcos Rosales said that due to the successful conversion process of the aircraft, the Mexican company has managed to strengthen and extend the alliance with the Israeli company, with a contract for the conversation of two more aircraft of the same model.

Present at the delivery ceremony to the American cargo company, Kalitta Air, were also Ilan Vikelman, director of Conversions of IAI, and David Israelí, representative of the Ministry of Defense of Israel in Mexico.

The Israeli executives recognized the vision of the director of Mexicana MRO in this alliance, as well as the capacity and delivery of the Mexican technicians and engineers. The second plane is already being worked by about 200 Mexican and 20 Israelis employees.
