The next-gen 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January and is expected to go on sale during the spring of next year, Hinrich Woebcken, CEO of Volkswagen North America, revealed last weekend.

According to a report by Motor Trend, the Jetta will be available in the sporty R-Line version within the first three months of its launching and the GLI model will arrive later within the first year.

The model will be built in Puebla, Mexico, using the flexible MQB platform, which have allowed that facility to produce models based on this architecture without the need of significant investments.
