Eva Precision Holdings Ltd., A Hong Kong-based plastic and metal components manufacturer for a wide range of industries, invests at least US$ 25 million to build a plant in San Luis Potosi to supply parts for the automotive industry in North America.

According to its fiscal year 2017 interim results, the company is considering a budget ranging from US$ 25.6 million to US$ 32 million to build the facility, which is expected to have an 172,000 square-feet footprint during its first phase, scheduled for completion in late 2018.

“Additional capacity can be added should its production capacity be unable to cope with the huge demand for high quality automobile molds and components in Mexico, which is one of the world’s major automobile production hubs,” says the report.

Initially, most of the production will be metal seating components for French auto supplier Faurecia, but Eva hopes to expand into plastic parts targeting automakers such as BMW, GM, Volkswagen, Audi and Fiat-Chrysler for that end.
