Paramount Bed, a Japan-based manufacturer of hospital beds last week opened a US$ 3.7 million production plant in the municipality of El Marques, Queretaro.

The company plans to supply its products to hospitals across Latin America from this facility where 48 workers were recruited to start operations, a figure that will increase to 100 employees in the next six months.

According to plant manager Satoshi Yoshida, this facility manufactures the A-5 series hospital bed, a product the company expects to have great demand in the Latin America market.

“We’re going to make our greatest effort to deliver very good quality products and give an excellent service so that our bed produced in Querétaro becomes a standard model for Latin America,” said Yoshida at the cutting ribbon ceremony.
