Japanese auto supplier Tachi-S to build in Morelos its eighth Mexican plant

According to state officials from Morelos, Japanese auto supplier Tachi-S plans to build a new production site in the municipality of Jiutepec to supply the Nissan Civac production plant located nearby. The amount of investment or jobs to be created in this endeavor remains undisclosed. 

This will be Tachi-S second plant in Morelos and ninth facility in the country. The company operates a manufacturing site at the municipality of Emiliano Zapata where 300 workers also supply seats to Nissan already. 

The company also owns two production facilities and an engineering center in Aguascalientes, two sites in the state of Coahuila, and two more plants located in Jalisco and Zacatecas.

Other automakers Tachi-S supply from Mexico are Honda, Toyota and Kia.
