The U.S. government and the Mexican industry agree that future NAFTA negotiations must contemplate that the exchange products contain more regional input, and less Asian origin input, said the President of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN), Manuel Herrera. The interest of increasing the regional content is related with the objective of reducing the imports from China, which has established ill commercial practices such as triangulation and sub valuation. Additionally, there is an objective to make sure that origin regulations would encourage supply chain from U.S., Mexico and Canada.
