Mexico's electronic industry, known the world over for manufacturing televisions, house hold appliances and cellphones, has now earned prestige with products of greater added value.  The electronics were the second most exported products in 2016, representing 20.4% from the total, only behind cars, with 23.5%. Rodrigo Gutierrez, Regional Director of Electri-Cord, explained that processes are involving increasingly more design, enhancement of prototypes and innovation in the assembly lines. Luis Aguirre Lang, Vice President of Sanmina, expressed that electronic design is now more commonly used, as well as stronger, more complex projects.
