Puebla to export avocado to US and Canada

The Puebla Association of Avocado Producers, announced that 50 of its members will export the first shipment of 6 tons of avocado in late July. The product will be sent to the U.S. and Canada, to be distributed specifically in restaurants, hotels and self-service stores. Jose Maria Lopez Ortega, leader of the association, commented that they are planning to send another shipment of the same size later this year. Lopez Ortega said that the production is recording annual growth rates of 10%, thus opportunity to look for foreign clients.
