Telecommunication services provider Axtel announced the opening of its second data center in Queretaro as part of a US$ 67.5 million investment plan in the country over the next two years.

The first round of capital expenditure has now delivered a US$ 24.3 million data center at the Queretaro Innovation Technological Park in central Mexico. The remaining budget will be used to expand and build new facilities, the company said in a statement.

The 38,750 square-feet data center in Queretaro is the company’s sixth following sites in Monterrey, Querétaro, Guadalajara and Mexico City.
