Singapore might become the arm for exportation that Mexico needs in Asia, in order to intensify its market diversification in the fastest-growing region, according to the Mexican ambassador in the Asian Country, Nathan Wolf Lustbader. Bilateral commerce has reached US$2 billion per year. These economies can be considered complementary of each other, as commerce among them will benefit both of them, which has led Wolf to classify Singapore as a natural partner for Mexico and a bridge between the West and the East. Singapore stands out as one of the main buyers of fuel oil, purchasing roughly 15% of Mexico's sales.
