Germany-based Prettl Group expands operations in Queretaro

Germany-based manufacturer Prettl Group plans to invest US$ 8 million to build its fourth production site in Queretaro state, fifth in Mexico. 

Around 200 permanent jobs will be created along with this project which will include corporate offices, but the company also plans to expand output at another site adding 300 more job openings, according to Queretaro state officials. Overall Prettl estimates it will employ more than 4,000 workers in Mexico by the end of year.

The company manufactures wire harnesses for planar sensors and ABS wheel speed sensors, as well as brush card systems and modules for small electronic motors. 

Prettl operates two plants in Queretaro, located at the Corregidora and Colon municipalities, to manufacture harnesses and other electrical and electronic components for aerospace and automotive applications.

Another Mexican facility is located in Comonfort, Guanajuato, which also manufactures harnesses and electrical components for the automotive industry.

Under its subsidiary PAS Group (Providing Appliance Solutions), Prettl also operates a production site at the municipality of El Marques, Queretaro, to manufacture plastic and electrical components for appliances.
