Mexico must focus on its internal economy

According to Dani Rodrik, economist and Harvard professor, in order for Mexico to accomplish substantial economic growth, it must first focus inwards and address the integration of domestic economy and not just the integration with the rest of the countries. He underscores that the reintegration of economy and not any commercial agreements, is what will get the economy moving; he also clarifies that globalization is not a strategy for development. Rodrik suggests to focus on measures to connect big companies with the smallest ones, with the objective of creating assistance and collaboration networks that would permit the development of local supply chain through deeper collaboration between the public and the private sectors.
