Mexico and Cuba strengthening commercial and investment relations

A work reunion between government representatives of Mexico and Cuba was recently conducted, with an aim to drive significant increase of the bilateral commerce, investment and deepening of the cooperation for development and experience exchange. The bilateral economic-commercial relation was reviewed in this visit and there was a discussion about the importance of completing the negotiation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy (Mexico) and the Office of Normalization (Cuba). Additionally, the status of Mexican companies with investment in Cuba was re-checked, as well as the potential for investment and the commerce opportunities in sectors such as fertilizers, sugar, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology.
