Mexico receives FDI worth US$109 billion through ProMexico

Since its creation on June 13th 2007, ProMexico has contributed to attract more than 1,126 FDI projects, with value surpassing US$109 billion and the creation of 411,000 direct jobs. The goal FDI of the current administration, presided by Paulo Carreño, is to have captured US$12.5 billion by the end of 2017, plus a historic record to close 2018 with FDI worth US$200 billion to end Carreño's administration. Moreover, he said that 60% of the FDI captured in recent years has been used to enhance the manufacturing industry in activities of high added-value, such as the automotive, electronics and aerospace sectors.
