Energy companies from Finland are interested in Mexico, thanks to the benefits yielded by the Energy Reform approved since 2014. “There is a company named Wärtsilä, that was already operating in Mexico, but after the reform, it saw with interest new opportunities opening”, comments Norma Pensado, Mexico ambassador in Finland. This Finnish company has delivered electric centrals in Mexico totaling 527 megawatts (MW), in five States: Quintana Roo, Queretaro, Baja California, San Luis Potosi and State of Mexico. The foreign investment in this sector has been the backbone of the current administration.
