BNSF Logistics LLC is expanding its presence in Mexico by opening a facility in Queretaro to handle over-the-road truckload, temp-control, flatbed, less-than-truckload and intermodal shipping.

The facility is a key component in BNSF Logistics' efforts to better serve existing and future customers in Mexico. It will enable Logistica to build the market and provide Mexican customers with a new level of support, company officials said.

Luis Hernandez has been hired to oversee the new location. He comes to BNSF Logistics after more than 17 years in the logistics industry.

"We are excited about our continued expansion in Mexico and adding the talent Luis and his team are bringing to our organization," said BNSF Logistics Chief Operating Officer Dan Curtis.
