The agri-food sector escalated to the third position in Mexican exportation, after manufacturing and automotive exports, after peaking at US$5.22 billion foreign sales revenues between January and February 2017, according to data from the Bank of Mexico (BANXICO) and the Agricultural Markets Consulting Group (GCMA). During this bimester, the foreign sales of agri-food products had a US$1.34 billion surplus (21.35% larger than the 2016 record). The main export products are: beer, tomato and avocado.
