Suzuki Garphyttan, a Japanese and Swedish Corporation, opened its first plant in Mexico, at the Industrial Polygon “Parque Opcion” in San Jose Iturbide, Guanajuato. The plant will manufacture cables for engines, clutches or automotive trunks. US$12.7 million were invested in the construction, with expectations to create 46 direct jobs during the initial stage. The starting capacity is 6,000 tons per year, but a 12,000 tons capacity of production might be reached in its second stage.
