Mexico, ranked seventh vehicle manufacturer

According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), Mexico is maintaining the seventh place in motor vehicle production worldwide, with 3,597,462 units in 2016; following India, which is in the fifth spot. The first four places are occupied by China, the U.S., Japan, and Germany. Randy Miller, from Ernst & Young, says that the outlook in Mexico is very positive and depending on the development of markets such as India, Mexico might escalate to the sixth place. According to OICA, the global automotive production totaled 94,976,569 vehicles in 2016.
