Mercedes Benz announced plans to introduce six new eco-friendly models, five hybrids and one electric, to the Mexican market by the end of year.

Due to sustainable technologies have gathered interest in the Mexican consumer, the company determined the GLE SUV and the S-Class sedan will be available in hybrid versions as well as three other models which remain undisclosed.

A full-electric Smart will also be added to the line-up, said Mercedes Benz Mexico CEO Radek Jelinek to Mexican news agency Notimex.
