Argentina ready to supply maize to Mexico

Maize producers in Argentina are ready to cater to the Mexican market's demand, while the Federal government is getting ready to increase imports from both Argentina and Brazil. According to Martin Fraguio, Director of Maizar (the association of Argentinian maize producers), the numbers might shift from the 150,000 tons sold in 2016, to 2 million this year. However, in order to successfully provide such volumes, getting maize included in the Economic Complement Agreement (ACE 6) that the two Countries maintain since 1987.
