Preferred Compounding expands operations in San Luis Potosi

Preferred Compounding de Mexico will expand its operations with the addition of a 75-liter tilt mixer. This measure will add up to 25 employees over the next six months to handle the growing capacity and the addition of the mixer.

Once the expansion is completed, the company’s workforce will sum about 150.

By adding the mixer, Preferred Compounding will be able to manufacture color compounds from all rubber polymer types.

The mixer is the first of its kind in Mexico dedicated for specialty elastomers, said the company in a press release.

The equipment will be installed in a 57,000 square feet facility located next to its main plant in San Luis Potosi.

This is the third expansion in mixing capabilities at the Mexican plant since bought in 2012.
