Mexico to expand agri-food market to Japan and Korea

Mexico is getting prepared to rise agri-food products exports to Japan to reach US$1.4 billion in 2020, surpassing the US$1.05 billion sales records from last year. Jose Calzada Rovirosa, Secretary of Agriculture, who is currently in a work tour though Japan and South Korea, remarked that Japan is one of Mexico's four main commercial partners in the agri-food product market. He expressed that there has been a sustained increase in Mexico's agri-food exports to Japan, at an approximate rate of 10% per year. The main Mexican products that are consumed in Japan are pork, avocado, tuna and beef.
