Voith Industrial Services has a new name. The company, which operates in the automobile and automotive supply industry, is now called Leadec. The service provider's new independence is therefore also reflected in its own brand.  In fall 2016 Voith sold its industrial services division to private equity firm Triton. Under its new owner, Leadec operates as an independent service company capable of aligning itself fully to the needs of the service sector and providing customized solutions.

This autonomy has now also been deliberately reflected in the new company name, which is derived from the words "lead" (leadership, leading edge) and "tech" (technology). Markus Glaser-Gallion, CEO of Leadec: 'The new name serves to emphasize that we are striving for market leadership to provide our customers with a competitive edge. This is why we are going to continue to expand our core business internationally and are very much looking forward to the exciting times ahead.

In its capacity as an affiliate of Leadec, the division of the industrial services provider that operates in the process and power plant industries will also have its own brand: Veltec. This name is derived from the Latin "veltrus"(fast running) and English "tech".

The new brands were developed to reflect the company's DNA and took account of the aspirations and values that the company represents today and would like to reinforce in the future. Leadec intends to expand its global network in the future, operate even more flexibly and efficiently, and invest in further growth alongside Triton.
