VivaAerobus, 100% Mexican

Roberto Alcantara, President of VivaAerobus, informed that he has bought the 49% of the stock market shares of VivaAerobus, which were in the hands of Irelandia Aviation, the holding that founded the low cost airline Ryanair in Europe. This reasserts VivaAerobus' identity as a 100% Mexican airline. Gian Carlo Nucci, General Director of Grupo VivaAerobus, said that the company does not have international expansion among its main objectives, as its strategy is focused in national traffic. Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of VivaAerobus, indicated that the purchase of the remaining 49% of the firm, does not affect its fleet expansion plans, in which they aim to complete an order of 52 Airbus airplanes in 2021.
