The Mexican manufacturing industry is not at risk from the threats of the next U.S. President, but a reconfiguration of products manufactured in the country is expected, expressed specialists and members of the industry. This sector in Mexico exports are valued over US$1 billion per day, with added value six times Brazil's; it captures over half of Mexico's FDI and it generated 3.6 million jobs from January to October 2016. The manufacturing industry representatives' expectations are maintaining growth, as is the case with the plastics industry, which has been recording 4.8% annually from 2009 to 2016, expecting a 6% increase in 2017, comments Raul Mendoza Tapia, Director of ANIPAQ, the National Association of the Plastics Industry.
