Agreement to promote Automotive Clusters in Mexico

A minute aiming to establish a project for cooperation among the government offices of Mexico, Japan and the Automotive Clusters of Guanajuato, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi, was signed by all the parties involved, informed the Automotive Cluster in Queretaro. Some of the main agreements are: the involved parties and ProMexico will participate in a knowledge transfer process with Japanese experts, as well as offering workshops, seminars and training sessions to Mexican Tier 2 companies, for the use of different techniques; developing activities to increase the commercial exchange of Japanese Tier 1 companies and OEMs and Mexican Tier 2; receiving technical support from JICA to strengthen the supply chain for companies in the Mexican Automotive Industry of the Bajio. This project will be active for five years and it is expected to start operations during 2017.
